Holland & Hart Attorneys Recognized as 2011 Mountain States Super Lawyers

Denver (June 24, 2011): 68 Holland & Hart attorneys have been recognized as 2011 Mountain States Super Lawyers. The Super Lawyers list is based on a survey of lawyers across the states of Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming, as well as independent research. Only the top five percent of attorneys in each state are honored as Super Lawyers in this annual list, and Rising Star selection is limited to only 2.5 percent of eligible attorneys.

Holland & Hart Receives Gold Standard Certification for Empowering Women Lawyers

DENVER (June 20, 2011)—Holland & Hart is pleased to announce that it has earned a Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF). The certification recognizes firms that have integrated women in top leadership positions and compensated them fairly. Holland & Hart was one of only 32 firms in the country that met the qualifying criteria.

"We are honored to receive the Gold Standard Certification," says Liz Sharrer, a member of Holland & Hart's management committee. "The firm is very proud of its long-standing commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession. We are dedicated to building a culture in which women are engaged in shaping the future of this profession."

The WILEF certification process went beyond simply looking at the percentage of women employed. To qualify, law firms had to meet at least three of the following six criteria:

• Women account for at least 20% of equity partners.
• Women represent at least 10% of firm chairs and office managing partners.
• Women make up at least 20% of the firm's primary governance committee.
• Women represent 20% or more of the firm's compensation committee.
• Women make up at least 25% of practice group leaders or department heads.
• Women represent at least 10% of the top half of the most highly compensated partners.

Ida Abbott, a legal consultant and chairwomen of WILEF's certification committee, stated, "At a time when women are losing ground at some firms, it is wonderful to recognize 32 law firms where women are prominently represented at the highest levels of leadership and compensation. These firms prove that a commitment to the advancement of women can produce great results."

Holland & Hart Announces the Addition of C. Jean Stewart to the Firm's Private Client Group

Denver (June 16, 2011) – Holland & Hart is pleased to announce the addition of C. Jean Stewart to the firm's Fiduciary Solutions Group effective July 1, 2011. The Fiduciary Solutions Group is a specialty practice within the firm's Private Client Practice Group. The Fiduciary Solutions Group represents trustees, executors, financial institutions, trust companies, beneficiaries, creditors, agents under powers of attorney, and individuals in probate, trust, and fiduciary disputes.

Ms. Stewart will offer services as an appointed judge and special master, as provided in Colorado law, and will provide services to the firm and its clients in a full range of trusts and estates matters, including probate, trust, estate and gift tax, fiduciary-related litigation, estate and trust administration, and estate planning. As part of the Fiduciary Solutions Group, Ms. Stewart will counsel corporate fiduciaries, individual fiduciaries, and creditors in the resolution of probate and trust-related disputes through arbitration or mediation.

Ms. Stewart served as the Presiding Judge of the Denver Probate Court for the past 16 years where she was responsible for management of all aspects of the budget, personnel, planning, and execution of the court's systems, policies, and procedures. She is an active teacher, mentor, and leader in the probate arena and a variety of professional and community organizations.
