SALT LAKE CITY – March 27, 2012 – Holland & Hart attorney James Holtkamp was named one of the first senior fellows of the Wallace Stegner Center at the University of Utah.
The Wallace Stegner Center for Land, Resources and the Environment represents a concrete manifestation of the University of Utah S. J. Quinney College of Law’s commitment to the multidisciplinary study of natural resources and environmental law and policy.
As an attorney with more than 35 years of experience, Mr. Holtkamp represents clients on environmental, natural resources, and energy project development issues throughout the world.
His extensive experience includes involvement in climate change issues, including avoided deforestation sequestration in Central America; carbon credit trading in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Europe; corporate climate change policies in the energy sector; and development of governmental climate change programs.
He is currently the vice-chair of the American Bar Association Energy and Infrastructure Committee.
As a senior fellow, Mr. Holtkamp will be researching, lecturing and publishing in the areas of air pollution control and climate change.
